Within the grounds of Ferndale, there are a number of short walks along the leafy banks of the Chichester River and into the surrounding forests. The open expanse of fresh water offered by Lake Chichester is only 15 minutes away. Nature lovers have long chosen Ferndale Park as a hotspot for native bird watching - all flora and fauna are protected. For the kids, there is a large flat area where they can play cricket or kick a football around. A basketball hoop with backing board is also provided. Plenty of exploring also awaits the youngsters.
